Collaboration!

As an "offensive" against the sheer amount of electronical and metal Touhou arrangements that jumped out of nowhere winter last year, Aensland, Muesli and I decided to do a collaborative work, contributing classical arrangements of Touhou songs we felt they needed them.

Bearing the name "Symphony No.1 - Forgotten opus of sacred history" we proudly present our collaborative album, containing eleven classical and charming arrangements. Ranging von playful tunes to sad and threatening melodies, the motto of this album is "Day and Night", recognizable by the movements of this symphony.
Interested people can visit our website which provides all necessary information on our work. The album is free to download, so please take a look!

An unbreakable connection

"Somewhere out there, there's this tree with star-shaped fruit. And the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it, nothing can ever drive you apart. You will always find your way back to each other. An unbreakable connection."

As a passionate fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, I felt obliged to create a Wayfinder sooner or later. After making Sea-Salt ice-cream this summer, the idea of crafting these good luck charms for my friends seemed to be appropriate, since we are kind of seperated the colder half of this year. Being connected by this token of friendship, even though you´re divided by several distances you know that you´re not alone.

I made my Wayfinder using the tutorial by xcalixax from DeviantArt.

I´m alive!

Sorry for the latest absence, but I really had some trouble at school and family, so I wasn´t able to do much on this blog.
Nonetheless, I updated the album list at the top, so my most recent albums can be downloaded as well. I hope I will be able to post more in my free-time but I have to see how it develops.

I freeze in awe

Oh my, XDTOXD uploaded a magnificient orchestral arrange of three Touhou tracks a few days ago, and man, that thing is beyond epicness and credibilaty. I cannot even describe it properly, just watch it and be astounded.

Steampunk, aye?

Oh my, I´ve completely lost myself in the fascination of steampunk. It always astounded me, but now I am really eager to learn more about and experience it even more. Maybe it is the idea of every machine and device powered by steam, an indication of how it works, of accomplishing a goal.
And all that fancy clothing! Everything inspired by the victorian era, so classy and dashing. It can look so utterly noble, but on the other hand so futuristic and dirty (in a good way).
All those flawless costumes and suites, ragged working clothes or even fantastic and creative gear-inspired outfits! Aww, I´m totally in love. :D

Chiptune and Tailoring

I´ve recently found a lot of fun in arranging tracks within the chiptune genre. I have to say it is kind of nostalgic to hear all those track in bits, as if you´d be in a retro version of that particular game.
Another thing I´ve noticed is that tailoring seems to be way more fun than it sounds. I have made some experiences with tailoring, ´cause I had to create a costume for a Vernissage in my school. Uh, I have an idea!
Wouldn´t it be nice to do something like Speedcolouring, but instead with tailoring small things and stuff? I´d love to do that! :)

Distant Phantasm

Like many have noticed, the first movement of the event Distant Phantasm is going to end in four days. I wanted to say that all contributions were wonderful and the participants did a great job with their arrangements!
If you haven´t already visited Distant Phantasm, you definitely should. It is a wonderful opportunity for arranger overseas to share their creativity and work. They get the chance to become public and show people that not only Japanese can arrange themes. :)
I can´t wait for the next movement to start. This event is so much fun! :D

Here´s the video of my latest contribution:
